Our instructors

Maya Castillo, Venice lead instructor
01 · VENICE LEAD

Maya CastilloLead

Vinyasa Flow · Hot 26

Home studio: Venice

Maya found yoga in a Tijuana church hall and finished her training in Mysore. She has been teaching at Venice since we opened the doors, and she is why so many people never leave.

Expect clear cues, big playlists, and a soft spot for backbends. Her Vinyasa classes build real heat; her Hot 26 is precise without being punishing. All levels welcome and felt.

Marcus Reid, Ashtanga and Beginners Series instructor
02 · VENICE

Marcus Reid

Ashtanga · Beginners Series

Home studio: Venice

A former high school teacher who still loves first-timers most. Marcus teaches the Beginners Series because he genuinely believes the first few weeks are the most interesting ones.

If you're nervous, book Marcus. His Ashtanga classes are rigorous and rooted; his Beginners sessions are patient, small, and quietly transforming.

Willow Hayes, Yin and Restorative instructor
03 · SANTA CRUZ

Willow Hayes

Yin · Restorative

Home studio: Santa Cruz

Trained in bodywork before yoga, and it shows. Willow brings the room down two notches just by walking in. Her Yin classes hold long and go deep; her Restorative sessions are the nearest thing to sleep that still counts as showing up.

She also teaches at Encinitas on Wednesday mornings, which says something about the kind of teacher she is.

Priya Sharma, Encinitas lead and prenatal specialist
04 · ENCINITAS LEAD

Priya SharmaLead

Prenatal · Mom & Baby

Home studio: Encinitas

Encinitas lead. Pre and postnatal specialist, mother of two, zero patience for fear-based teaching. Priya has strong opinions about pelvic floors, and they are all correct.

The prenatal program at Encinitas is hers from the ground up. Partners are welcome on workshop days, and her Mom & Baby classes are the real thing: show up as you are, baby in tow.

Diego Marin, Rocket and strength instructor
05 · SANTA CRUZ

Diego Marin

Rocket · Vinyasa Flow

Home studio: Santa Cruz

Former gymnast, current advocate for gravity being negotiable. Diego will convince you a handstand is a conversation, not a stunt, and he will do it without making you feel behind.

His Rocket classes are fast and playful; his Vinyasa classes build strength with the same playfulness underneath. He also covers Venice when the schedule calls for it.

Grace Kim, online lead and VOD library presenter
06 · ONLINE LEAD

Grace KimLead

Vinyasa Flow · Yin

Home studio: Online

Online lead and the face of the library. Grace teaches like she is talking to one person, because she usually is. Her 30 Days of Flow programme is the reason most online members joined, and the reason they stayed.

She livestreams from our Venice set on Tuesday and Sunday evenings. Her Yin sessions on Thursday nights are a gentle way to close the week.
